Answers to common questions regarding FastStore. What is FastStore? FastStore is a file transfer system restricted to senders of your choice, so called FastStore Clients. The FastStore Client is available as a desktop application, but also available online in a private SSL secured web portal. This makes it possible for your defined senders to send files from anywhere, fast, easy and secure. Also, the FastStore Client has the option of specifying a folder as a mailbox with the additional HotFolder application. You can revoke and re-distribute FastStore Clients an unlimited amount of times. The files sent to you can be downloaded manually, and/or automatically by the Download Manager application. The encryption used is approved and recommended by The National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST) in the USA and therefore FastStore can be used for sending sensitive data. How do I use FastStore?Log in to your MyFileflow account and select FastStore. Click on Client manager and type in the details for the individuals you wish to receive files from. When you have filled in the information, click on Distribute. As a client is distributed, an account is created for them. After you have distributed a FastStore Client, the individual is able to send you files with a desktop application, directly from their account in the private SSL secured MyFileflow web portal. This makes it possible for your defined senders to send files from anywhere, fast, easy and secure. The files sent to you can be downloaded manually, and/or automatically by the Download Manager application directly into your work flow. FastStore Clients can be revoked and re-distributed an unlimited amount of times from your MyFileflow account. How do I distribute my Clients?Log in to your MyFileflow account and select FastStore. Click on Client manager and type in the details for the individuals you wish to receive files from. When you have filled in the information, click on Distribute. FastStore Clients can be revoked and re-distributed an unlimited amount of times from your MyFileflow account. Who can send files to me?Anyone you give a FastStore Client. You distribute FastStore Clients from your MyFileflow account. How do I download the files that will be sent to me?
- Manually, by clicking on a download link in an email notification sent to your from the Fileflow notification system. Email notifications are optional.
- Manually, from the FastStore Inbox in your MyFileflow account.
- Automatically, directly to your predefined location with the Download Manager application.
What files types can be sent?Any type of file, and folders too. My client/partner/customer is afraid to send sensitive data over the Internet. Is it safe?Yes, it is safe, because:
- Our applications operate over a HTTPS connection. HTTPS creates a secure channel and protects from eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle-attacks.
- Before files leave the computer, they are secured with 2048-bit RSA encryption, which is equal to, or higher than industry standards. In fact, The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the USA recommend it's use until 2030!
- The secured files are transferred encrypted.
- The files are stored encrypted in a purpose built, state of the art, continuously monitored and guarded data center, certified according to EN ISO 9001:2000.
Note: In order to entirely secure your FastStore, you must turn off your email notifications. The reason for this is that no emails are safe, and can be intercepted by unauthorized persons. You can however keep email notifications for download ON, in order for your senders to get delivery receipts. Can multiple files and folders be sent at once?Yes, even folders. Is there a minimum amount of Clients?Yes, five (5). I need to receive large and rare file formats. Is this a problem? Can the quality be compromised in any way?No. We use full lossless compression. What you receive, is identical to what was sent. How many Clients can I have?As many as you need. Is there a limit for the amount of files sent to me? Surely the file size?No. Should files be zipped/packed/compressed before they are sent to me?No, we automatically pack and compress all data. In fact, we recommend that nothing is done to files prior to sending them. Is there a limit of connections or simultaneous transfers?No. A lot of my partners are Mac users, but I use a PC. Is that a problem?No, not at all. Our products are platform independent. A lot of my partners are PC users, but I use a Mac. Is that a problem?No, not at all. Our products are platform independent. My file server is Unix based. Can I use Download Manager on it?Yes. Our products are platform independent.

Answers to common questions regarding installation of FastStore related software. What do I need to install in order to use FastStore?At a very minimum you do not have to install anything - just receive email notifications with download links whenever new files arrive.
At the most you need to install Download Manager for automatically transferring your received files to predefined locations locally.
FastStore consists of 3 parts:
- Client Manager - accessed online through your web-portal MyFileflow enables you to distribute FastStore Clients for sending you files from anywhere.
- FastStore Client(s) - this is the actual application your invited clients will use to send you files. Available as a desktop application, a web variant available online, or as a Hot Folder - whichever your client prefers to use.
- Download Manager - an application installed locally to automatically receive files to predefined locations on local disk.
I need to reinstall my FastStore Client. What do I do?Log in to your MyFileflow account. Click on FastStore Client. Click on Download. Double-click the downloaded installation file, and follow the installation instructions.

Answers to common questions regarding FastStore trouble shooting. How do I brand FastStore?Log in to you MyFileflow account and select FastStore. Click on Settings. You can apply your company logo, change to your company color profile and use you own email banner in email notifications. Changes have immediate effect. I need to check some transfers from way back. How?Log in to you MyFileflow account and select FastStore. The Inbox has a complete history of all the files you have received.
